Halloween is just around the corner! If you’re pregnant, that gives you some fun opportunities for costumes.
Especially couple costumes. You probably haven’t seen many, apart from some creepy zombie baby parts costumes. But there’s a whole bunch of cute and funny homemade Halloween costumes for pregnant couples out there, and we’ve rounded up some of our favorites for you.
Halloween Costumes for Pregnant Couples
Leprechaun and Pot of Gold
Some might say this pregnant Halloween costume for couples is perfectly appropriate since you‘re going to be pouring out money for the baby anyway. You’ll need a blue dress (to use as the sky), a rainbow scarf and a rainbow wig, a belly dancing skirt or toy gold coins, and a cauldron that you cut in half. If your bump is big enough, you might not even need the pot. Just paint it on the dress! Get your hubby to dress in green clothes, stick a leprechaun hat on him, and the two of you will be a cute match.
Milkman and Pregnant Housewife
The milkman and pregnant housewife are cute costumes that have many variations, so you can personalize it as you want. The punchline is a housewife from the 50’s (or what decade you’d like) who got pregnant by the milkman. Oops!
Basketball Player and Basketball Belly
This is an easy DIY Halloween costume for pregnant couples since you just have to paint your belly like a basketball. Works like a charm for hiding any stretch marks, but it’s also a huge hand magnet! If you don’t like everybody with their hands on your belly, this might not be the costume for you. And don’t forget to use non-toxic, chemical free body paint!
The Seeker and the Golden Snitch
This is a unique DIY pregnant Halloween costume idea we haven’t seen a lot, and it’s relatively easy…at least for the belly. A black shirt painted with gold and gold painted wings attached. The Seeker outfit is a little more complicated since it’s not common in adult sizes.
Mary and Joseph
If you’re going for great couples, this Mary and Joseph outfit is perfect and easy to make. You need bolts of fabric, one color for you and one for the spouse. You can sew the dress or just cut a circle in the middle of the fabric and pull it over your head and tie extra material around you, you above the belly, and he around the waist.
Father Time and Mother Earth
Another homemade hand-magnet costume. For Father Time you’ll need white fabric, a white beard, and an hourglass. Mother Nature requires a bit more work since the Earth is painted on your belly. Don’t worry if you’re not the best artist, no one will notice. They’ll all be busy feeling the little earthquakes caused by your baby.
Redneck Guy and His Old Lady
This redneck guy and his old lady costume is so funny! You’ll need a white tank top that shows your belly, a plaid shirt, and a trucker hat. For some extra special touches, add facial and chest hair, tattoos from a quarter machine, a mullet hairstyle, a cigarette, and a beer can. A nightgown, wig, cigarettes, and makeup are all you need for the old lady.
Chef and Bun in The Oven
If you have an empty cardboard box, apron, and chef’s hat at home you’re all set for this costume. Cut and paint the cardboard box and paint a bun on your belly while your husband dresses up as the chef.
Skeleton Pregnant Couple
This is a great and relatively easy DIY couple Halloween costume. Print out baby skeleton X-ray and either glue it to your belly or paint it on. Color your faces all white, then add red and black around the eyes and nose. For added touch, you could also paint a skeleton on your hands and back.
Juno and Bleeker
Another adorable pregnant couple is Juno and Bleeker. For Juno, you’ll need a pair of straight leg jeans, a plaid pleated skirt, an orange striped tank top, and a brown hoodie. For Bleeker, it’s a must to have bright yellow athletic shorts, the yellow wrist and headbands, and a t-shirt with a Dancing Elf Condors logo ironed on, preferably red or maroon.
